On the Road, Again

Three months of living on the road with Arden, my bicycle, Bertha, and Timmy the Tent.

3 months ago today we left for this wild adventure. 3 whole months of this life on a bicycle. And 5 months ago today, we took a flight and left the island of St. John, that we called home for over a year and was in a lot of ways, the most stability I have ever known.

In some ways I feel like my life has flipped and flopped over and over again. I’m sure you can relate to this! And I really hope you have given yourself the time and space to reflect on these months of funky times. Time is a funny thing. Such a beautiful, but funny thing. It goes on relentlessly. And you’re responsible for filling it in ways that bring you joy, and give you meaning, and make you smile big time. In some ways these 3 months have felt like I’ve blinked and now we’re almost done, and in another way, it feels like this is what I have been doing my whole life. And maybe that’s because in this time, so much has been jammed in. Really, really good and also really, really tough. All of it. Jammed up into 3 months of time. You learn as you go, and you realize the importance of being flexible. And although some of these days (like today) feel much more difficult than others, I am so unbelievably grateful for my mind and this time to think, process, reflect, and adapt. Loving always, though!!
